Bad SEO Practices

SEO optimization is a must if you want to have a search engine friendly site. Still, there are quite many people over-optimizing their sites which results in nowhere other than getting banned from search engines. While it is hard to get on top of the seo competition, you can implement some basic guidelines to prevent the punishment from search engines.

The basic guidelines are:

  • Keywords are important, but never put too many of them within your site or within an article of yours.
  • Don’t link to spam sites.
  • Don’t duplicate other blog’s content.
  • Avoid duplicate posts within your site.
  • Don’t do reciprocal link among your sites unless each is located in different IP adress.
